She’s just finished her junior year of college, has a summer internship lined up with the LA Philharmonic, and plans to go to grad school to write movie scores. Only her roommates know she practices guitar every night and secretly dreams of a louder life. But geeky girls like her don't get to be rock stars.

Tattooed singer Jared Cross has a new girl every week, but when he catches Maddie playing one of his songs, she attracts his attention in an unexpected way. His band needs a fourth member for The Sound, a reality TV show competition—and he wants her. Though Maddie refuses to be another notch on Jared’s bedpost, she agrees to risk everything for the chance to be a rock star.

Once on the show, Maddie discovers there’s more to Jared behind his flirty smile, and with each performance their attraction becomes impossible to ignore. When the show pressures Jared to flaunt his player image, they’re forced to keep their relationship secret, but Maddie can’t help but want something real.

As the competition heats up, Jared will do whatever it takes for his band to win, and Maddie must decide if following her dream is worth losing her heart.

Two women. Carly & Tabitha. Both have suffered life-altering events that have left them both traumatically damaged.
Carly Sloan’s life was perfect until the night her security and innocence was torn from her. The vast repercussions from that horrific night threaten to destroy her stability and her chances for a happily ever after. Kyle Finnegan comes into Carly’s life at the height of her turmoil. Can he help her find what she desires most?
Tabitha Fletcher, on the other hand, has suffered from a very young age. She has been hiding from her past, which was full of abuse, loss and turmoil. She has been so brutally damaged that she has very little hope of redemption. The revolving door of men only leads her deeper into misery.
What circumstance brings these two women together unexpectedly and can they help each other heal? And will they each find what they need?
Redemption.

Damaged. Confused. Alone.
You feel sorry for me. You pity me.
You know what I’ve done. What I’ve given up. Who I’ve given up.
You try to understand what I’ve been through and how I can possibly go on with my life.
But you can’t possibly understand.
I’ve lost too much. Sacrificed too much. Given up everything so that I can find myself.
Well I’m done.
I’m done walking away from everything that matters.
It’s time for me to heal.
It’s MY TURN to earn…
Redemption.
Love.
Family.

About Amie Nichols
AmieNichols

I live in Iowa with my amazing, supportive husband. He is my rock and my king, and treats me like all women should be treated (like a spoiled Queen). I have two miniature dachshund's that are my babies, and they love to keep me company when I am writing away on my next WIP. I'm about to publish my 6th book, and can hardly believe how my life has changed. I'm called an author, and still can't believe it. I've have met some amazing woman in my journey so far, and have learned so much (sometimes the hard way). I've been like a sponge soaking up all the information I can on how the publishing world works. It's been a rollercoaster ride so far with its ups and its downs. No matter what, I will never regret anything I've done. You can't succeed if you don't try, and if you don't try you won't succeed. One of my favorite quotes, "If the dream is big enough the facts don't matter". Some other info about me: I love my family, friends, wine, and anything caffeinated. I also love writing HEA. For the same reason I won't watch a movie that I know will make me cry (with the exception of Steel Magnolias), I will never write a book without an HEA. There might be a few twists and turns, a cliffhanger or two, but ultimately my stories will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. For me, reading is entertainment, a way to escape this crazy insane world. If a book leaves me feeling sad, mad, or gut-wrenched, it is not for me. There is enough gut-wrenching sadness in this world, I don't need to read about it too. I started writing 3 years ago, and have no plans on stopping. So keep your eye on me, because with the help of some amazing people and my wonderful fans, this girl is going to be on the New York Times Best Seller's list someday.

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

This week's question:
What are your favorite books of 2014 so far?

My Answer:
Ummmm I guess I would have to say that my favorite books of 2014 so far would include J.D. Robb's Concealed in Death and, at the risk of sounding redundant, I've been loving Jay Crownover's Marked Men series (Rule, Jet, Rome, and Nash).

Please share your FF. What are your favorite books of the year so far?
Happy Friday!!! :)

June 13 Feature & Follow Friday

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly event hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

This week's question/task:
Tell us about your favorite book in a setting you'd like to visit (a real place for this question).

My Answer:
I've been really obsessed with Jay Crownover's Marked Men series. I just finished Nash which is the latest in the series. It involves romance with tattooed bad boys who are sweet on the inside. The series takes place in Denver, Colorado. I have never been to Colorado but it seems like a great place and I would love to imagine the Marked Men boys walking around Denver.

Please share your FF.
Happy Friday!!! :)

Game of Thrones & A Song of Fire and Ice

So I've become obsessed with watching and all things Game of Thrones. During the last month of school, I watched seasons 1-3 which was really bad because I was completely hooked and I was still watching during finals week. I pretty much holed myself in my dorm instead of leaving so I could watch the Starks and the Lannisters and Daenerys.

And since I have been watching Game of Thrones so much, I decided to start reading the book series that inspired it all. The series, A Song of Fire and Ice, is a little intimidating. It's not really the size that I'm having a problem with but it is a daunting story. Based on the tv show, I know that there are some many plot lines and characters to keep track of so I haven't gotten very far into the first book yet (about 200 pages).

I bought the box set of the first five books and I am currently reading the first, Game of Thrones. From what I have read so far it seems that the books correspond almost directly with show, or rather the tv shows corresonds well with the books. I'm really interested in all of the plot lines that I have watched and read so far, from the Whitewalkers to Daenerys, mother of dragons, to the conflict between the Starks and the Lannisters. I find that this series has something for everyone. There is romance, political drama, fantasy, action, and a touch of humor that has resulted in an amazing series.

I truly admire George R. R. Martin for crafting this exceptional world and I applaud HBO and the show's directors and everyone who works on it for bringing his world to light. I look forward to reading about this that may have been portrayed differently in the show or not at all. I'm also excited to go more in depth with the characters. I enjoy books that have alternating point of views because it allows glances into the intricate minds of the characters. You see more and learn more about the characters when you see the world through their eyes.

I hope to keep posting about the book series as I read along and I would love it if you guys had any thoughts. Have you read the books? Do you watch the tv show? If so, what are your thoughts on either or both? Who is your favorite character and what is your favorite plot line?

Happy Tuesday!

I am back!!!

Hello everyone. So if you have read my last blog post or have been on my blog in the past few months you may have noticed that I haven't been posting. That is because I got so caught up in my first year of college that I couldn't really handle blogging on top of that, especially the reading on a schedule in addition to my schoolwork.

But, I just want to say that I am back!!!!!! Yay for me.
I have really missed blogging and I want to get back into it.
I have a lot of books that I want to talk about and I cannot wait to get back into book tours. I don't think I had any idea how much I would miss blogging until I stopped doing it.

Also, some changes might be made to the layout and overall look of the blog just because I like to mix things up and I am not exactly feeling the look anymore.

So, I hope that I will hear from some of you soon and I am so happy to get back into blogging.

Happy Tuesday <3
